Great for 40+ Skin
Sandra· Review provided by ulta.com · June 22, 2024
I am 40 with Roseccia on cheecks that tends to be dry, also have fine lines on forehead.
I apply first my EL Serum then my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and letvthat soaknin for 5-10 min. Then I applied 3 small pumps directly on checks and forehead and blended it out with a foundation brush, set with Laura Mercier loose powder as well the Irbam Decay Setting spray. Dabbed everything in once again with beauty blender! Like that I rceived a beautiful even complexion that lasted all day in the hot and humid weather of South Texas!
It covered my mild roseccia well! If you have dark spots or more secerr redness you can combine this with concealer!
I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a light to medium buildable finish that diesnr settle in lines! Just make sure yiur skin is prepped first! EL never disappoints with their Foundations!

I’ve read so many good reviews on this product. I have combination maturing skin. I thought with the hydra rescue name and the thinner viscosity, the this would be a good product for me. I like to finish. It’s kind of satiny but a little Matte. The finish is not too shiny. the packaging is really nice. A soft tube with a pump top makes it very easy to dispense and get out all the product. it has a sheer coverage on one application, but can be built up where needed. But this is where I have the problem. In building it up those areas tend to get a little kinky. The share formula falls right into an accentuates any texture area that I have such as the nose and the chin and between the brows. In less than an hour, it leaves those areas, polkadotted and dry looking. I’ve tried it with a primer, and it made it worse. I found a water primer to use with it, that was a better option, but still accentuated the texture area. I am still working with it, trying to make it work, but I will not be repurchasing.
On my second tube. Great for mature, dry skin!

I purchased this foundation about five years ago, back when there was only a few shades. I guess they were testing the market at the time. I ended up with the lightest shade (Porcelain C0). I used it until the tube expired, and now I bought my normal shade from EL which is 1C1 Cool Bone. I'm so happy they offer this shade now! Truthfully, both shades suit me fine. I have pale skin with a pink undertone. I am 40 years old and have combo skin that leans dry in the winter and more oily in the summer. I love this foundation in the winter months to keep my skin plump and hydrated! It goes on like butter with a high medium coverage. I tried this in the summer, and it didn't last very long. It's totally fine since I switch up foundations between colder and warmer months. This is an awesome foundation if you have dry skin!
Not full coverage

I am 55, have some wrinkles, med-large pores, red areas and brown spots to cover. I went in trying to get a different color of my double wear I have used for years. I normally buy it elsewhere but because of the promotion I had to return it in store. The lighting inside Macy’s is horrible, it’s dark and fluorescent? The saleswoman said my face was really dry and that I should try the Futurist Hydra Rescue instead. She also upsold me the Micro Essence. She said it would help with the redness on my skin. The Micro Essence goes into my skin like water. It doesn’t feel any different afterwards, maybe it will in time. The Futurist Hydra Rescue is NOT full or LASTING coverage like Double Wear. If you’re going somewhere for a couple of hours it will hold up. It’s also much more sheer. I should not have let the saleswoman talk me out of something I knew already worked. Now I have to make a trip back.
